Medical Library and Information Science at Tehran University of Medical Sciences
The Medical Library and Information Science department at Tehran University of Medical Science (TUMS), School of Allied Medical Science, accepts students in the M.Sc. and Ph.Deprograms in Medical Library and Information Science. It is an interdisciplinary field that uses various information technologies and techniques to provide, organize, evaluate, store, retrieve, and disseminate high-quality and related information in various areas of the medical science
Those educated in this field will work and cooperate in various libraries and information centers, especially hospital libraries and medical information centers, research centers, and journal offices, to meet the needs of society, provide guidance, and improve community health literacy and access to valid information for individuals (i.e., researchers, physicians, patients, etc.)
